Does anyone have any recommendations as far as what I can use to help ease my sons teething pain OTHER than the norm?

His canines are coming in and these have been the worst ones ever..he's very irritable during the day and he won't even chew on a teething ring or teething toy. I give him small amounts of Baby Orajel and Tylenol when necessary to ease his comfort, but there's gotta be a secret trick out there that I don't know about to help ease this along so it's easier for him! I can't stand to see him in pain

...any suggestions?

i found that popcicles do wonders. they are messy but they numb for a while. is they get too bad then i have another suggestion. i know it may sound a bit weird but my friend had real bad problems also. i dont know if u have any sex shops around u but there is this product called anal ease. yes it sounds gross, but seriously it is the strongest number out there with out a prescription. it it safe in ur babys mouth. its like a stronger version of oralgel. someone just bottled it up for sexual use. it works wonders on serious tooth pain. this is not something i have just heard. i was there when she tried it and it really worked.

Yeah, the popsicle thing I've tried too and he loves 'em..and they work for a small amount of time.

Never heard of the sex lube you're referring to, but I'll definitely look into it..I'll try anything once to ease my son's discomfort! Thanks Jessi!

you can wet a washcloth and then freeze it. Let it thaw enough to get a bit soft and give to baby. They don't usually hold onto it, but it will hang out of their mouth, and it will get them wet.

Meg that washcloth is an excellent idea! My kids love chewing on a cold washcloth any time they have teeth coming in and they aren't even toddlers anymore.

Hey Meg, are you having twins?? :music: That is too cool!! Bless your heart!

For right now, yes, but things are kind of iffy. I go for a sono next thursday to make sure both buggers are ok, and to confirm that yes, indeedy, there are two buggers in there. NO ONE in my family has twins, though I've since come to realize twins have not all that much to do with genetics anyhow...aye!
