You'll probably think this is a strange one but I feel safer walking down the street at night. Not because I think no wants to bother with me because I'm fat but because I have the weight behind me to whip their [censored].

I've always told my family I'm not worried about someone trying to kidnap me from a parking lot. All I'd have to do is drop to the ground. If the guy can get me into his vehicle while I'm laying there dead weight he can have me. LOL

I am still struggling with being fat after being thin almost all of my life...I started gaining weight about 4 years ago after being put on all kinds of antidepressants, etc. But I have to admit sometimes it is comforting to just eat whatever I want and not worry about it. I am 5'8" and 268 pounds, size 3X. anyone else out there as large as me?

Rubyz -- before my gatric surgery I was the exact same size as you! That's cool!

I gotta admit, I'm having a hard time with this post, because most of my answers are fairly sarcastic. Someone mentioned feeling safer about not being attacked, well that's more than likely the reason I started gaining weight in the first place (a major one at least.) Because the gain started after my date rape in college. But that doesn't seem like something to be really happy about.

One thing I can say for sure is that I know my husband loves me for who I am, because he married me at this size. So he didn't just marry me for my looks! I'm not arm candy and I'm not rich so he didn't marry me for my money either! LOL.
