<img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> I have only been able to find 2 really good sources of books that can be downloaded from online sources for free. I was wondering if anyone knows of any others that have a sizeable list of books of the genre . The most extensive library is at http://www.fictionbook.ru/en/genre/sf / and the other is at http://www.baen.com/library/titles.htm If anyone knows of a site that is at all comparable to these please let me know by posting in this thread . THX !

I really haven't found anything as good as the Baen library. I've found some novel excerpts, but not a listing like Baen. There are a million ezines, but sometimes they aren't the best quality. I used to visit SciFiction at SciFi channel's site for short stories, but they've stopped publishing it. I think they may still have archives up.

Just bumping to say that Baen updated their Free Library as of 5 March.

I also like their sale site, Webscriptions. The following month's hardcovers are released in ebook about a week early for $6. If you want to pay extra, they have a subscription service ($15/month) that gives you 1/2, 3/4, or final parts of 5 books a month, all before they hit the shelves.

This is temporary, promotion only, but for now www.tor.com is offering a free Sci-fi ebook download per week with a registration in your email.

Offer will end when the site actually launches.

One more little tidbit. Harper Collins is posting a full copy of American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Its online here: American Gods

Its not for download but you can read the entire book right on the page.
