I have started my first scrapbook project to honor all the pets that have been a huge part of my life in the past 22 years, and I recently found some really nice rubber stamps that were pet-themed. My question is this: what is the proper way to use those stamps on the pages?

Kathi,

There are so many different ways that you can use your stamps on your scrapbook layouts. In fact...there will be an article posted this weekend about rubber stamping in your scrapbooks!! Perfect timing huh??

You can use your stamps to make a border, to make a background paper, to make embellishments- stamp the image on a piece of cardstock and then adhere to your page.

I will see if I can come up with some examples of ways people have used stamps. We have a weekend scrapbook retreat at the studio this weekend so I probably won't be able to post examples until next week!

I love overlapping stamps. It's a great way to make a sort of 3D effect but it's really easy and can be quite cute.

I also love using them to create borders and also to make a plain piece of white paper decorated to my own specifications...I'll use the same stamp in a pattern on a piece of 12x12 scrapbook paper and it looks store bought

I have never been a big stamper, but I love letter stamps.
