never finishing what I've started.

And knitting really fast to finish the row before I run out of wool...

HA HA HA I do that too, knitting fast to finish a row before I run out of wool, like that is going to help me make the yarn stretch that far.

OK, since I'm a newbie I didn't know that tying knots was a bad habit- so I've got that one, too! LOL

(How are you supposed to add yarn?)

The other thing I do, to make yarn last, is start pulling it really tight, and then it looks weird. All nice and even in the beginning and scrunched up at the end.

Another newbie, I, of course, tie knots (sorry,
Mrs. Zimmerman! one of these days I'll try your
way!).

No doubt worse than that, I think I can actually
read AND understand a pattern marked EASY now --
after beginning knitting again in October...
Sigh... I'm learning, but will be glad to get
a sense of REALITY when it comes to matching
patterns to my very basic skills!

Thank you, Eva and Bella knitters, for the much-
needed advice and support!

I'm pretty careless about blocking my finished pieces. I never pin them out. If anything, I steam them with a cool iron and get right on with sewing things together.

And, of course I tie knots! But I do go back when the piece is ready to be finished and untie the knots so I can sew in the loose ends.

I am picky, picky, picky about ends and knots. No knots to cause ends to come out, and very long ends to hide for inches and inches. Makes for longer finishing off but like I said, picky, picky, picky.

Oh I do tie the two ends together during work time to hold the stitches as they should be, but like Becky I go back and untie every knot before hiding ends.

I guess worse then this is that I will add yarn where ever I feel like it. I don't do the only at the beginning of a row. I hate adding at the beginning of a row but will if I have too.

Well, lets see... there's the fact that I'm a left-handed knitter and nobody quite knows how to handle that... then there's the knot tying... and the whole issues of too much/too little/too much tension on the thread.

I'm one of those "knit an hourglass" people... when I should be knitting a square.

I haven't been knitting long enough to have any of the above habits.

But, I tend to leave my needles in reach of my son (in reach is anyplace below the roof.) He thinks he can knit and I end up having to take out knots or start over.
