My lips are perpetually chapped, even in the humid summer. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I saw a product from Benefit called Lipscription, it is actually two products an exfoliant and a moisturizer.

Has anyone used this or something similar? Does it work? Should I shy away from it bc I have sensitive skin?

I'd like to know about this also. Sometimes I get a build-up of skin on my lips that will rub off if I try hard enough, but this product sounds like a much better option.

I've tried but nothing works.

I did have a great article about it once though.

The old woman next door has owned her house since before I was born. Her house isnt like anyone elses house, because its really old, and has a tower. The siding is badly weathered, and there is a tin patch on the roof. Once, my mother sent me over to her house with a piece of mail that got delivered to our house by mistake. Just when I got up on the porch and were about to put it in her box, she came out and grabbed my wrist and wanted to know "what you thought you were doing" with her mail. When I told her that my mother sent me over because the postman dropped the letter in our mailbox by mistake, she got this crazed look in her eyes, tightened the grip on my wrist, and said "we'll see about that." Then she let go of my wrist and disappeared inside. After that, if I found any of her mail left by mistake, I just threw it away, because I didn't want to have to deal with that crazy old woman ever again.*

*forget about this

Did you try application of a plain oil such as Jojoba?

I've used Paula's Choice exfoliant, and it works well for me.

I am most interested in this subject. Does any one else suffer from very dry lips, their lips bleed, their lipstick does not stay on. How do you over come this problem.

Have a Happy Day.

Try application of oils such as almond, jojoba at night.
You will get the results.

I think that you wrote in another post that you suffer from
psoriasis. If that is the case, consult your doctor. Application of a mild steroid cream on lips will take care of that. I also have psoriasis and know about what you are saying. Does winter and dry air cause more problem?

When my lips are chapped I used a wet tooth brush to remove the dead skin. I've also been happy with burts bees chapstick.

Hi cdmohatta. You are aright I am the one that suffers from psoriasis. You have a much better memory that me. Winter and dry air does cause the problem. I shifted from Southern Australia to Northern Australia to tropical weather and it has help my problem. More sun and swimming in the ocean. Next time I go to the doctor I will ask the question about m dry lips. Thanks once again.
