I have used albums with page protectors for all the scrapbooking I have done so far. I am planning to do a scrapbook with class pictures. (about 55 pics -only 1 pic to a page plus the list of names) (plus room to grow for future classes) Can I do this in a big album without protectors with no ill results? I have a book to use - more like the old fashioned kind of scrapbook, but the pages are acid free. Thanks for your advice!

I'm very new to scrapbooking myself, but I wouldn't recommend putting all that work into something and not having page protectors.

I personally use page protectors on all of my layouts.

I occasionally put together mini albums such as paper bag albums, etc....but with those you can't really use page protectors.

I like page protectors because not only do they protect your work...but they keep the items stuck to the page...each time a page is turned fingers touch the photos or possibly knock things off...it happens in my little mini books occasionally and I am constantly having to reglue things back down!

You could do it, but I'd say you will regret it later....

Seriously if you want your scrapbook to stay together, page protectors are the best way to ensure that. I mean, if very many people are going to be looking at the book, then you may want to rethink it and get an album with page protectors....

If it is just to keep the stuff together and will be stored, then it will prolly not matter too much.
