After several days of spending a couple of hours per day gardening (mixing up my potting soil, filling my giant containers, lugging them around, etc.) I seem to have lost about 5 lbs. 5 lbs!!!!! Is this to be expected!? I was pretty sure I was never gonna lose weight again, and I seem to have found my ideal workout!

Mary Ellen, I gotta tell ya, you're my new hero! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

All that, and you're up before the birds too! I hope you don't overdo it. I don't know about you, but I seize up during the winter, and it takes the garden to get me up and moving again. Gardening in the sunshine is one of life's small treasures, and losing a few pounds (Five! wow, congratulations, and while balancing a G&T on your head too!)

Hero, goodness. <img src="/images/graemlins/kiss.gif" alt="" />

Haha.... up before the birds... try STILL UP!! I'm a writer, the S.O.'s a musician (his working hours are often 9:00 pm - 2:00 am, or sometimes later!)... our sleep schedules are about as bizarre as they come. The mail lady gives us the funniest looks when we sign for a package at 2:00 PM in our pajamas, rubbing sleep out of our eyes.... And the neighbors think we're total whack jobs.

Well, I guess we are total whack jobs, but the sleep schedule has very little to do with it.

I'm kind of nervous now, because we're going away for a week and my new babies will be all alone! I'm scared that it won't rain enough.

Try Susan's mini-greenhouse. That'll keep the moisture in and the heat and humidity high, which is really good for them now as long as they aren't too, too wet.
