Hi Eva, This is my first try at a sock and everything was ok untill I started the short row. I divided the stitchs for the heel and am at the Turning Heel place. I have 12 stitchs on the needle and am to K7, k2 tog, k1, turn. What do I do with the 2 stitchs still on the first needle? Do I continue knitting with another needle and let those 2 stitchs dangle in the back of the work? I've been trying to find a video online but no success. Can you help me? I'm missing the point somewhere for sure. Thanks!

Can you give us more of the pattern information? What does it say to do next? Sometimes if you read beyond the line that's confusing then it all makes sense.

You leave them alone for now. When you do "short rows" you are working on building up stitches in certain places (usually the middle portion of your work), so in order to create the shaping, you won't be knitting all the stitches just yet. Does that help at all ?
