I'm pulling just over 222 km/day (138 miles round trip per day... mostly highway, but not all... and a little bit of off-road driving)... luckily I only have to drive into the office 3 days a week (4 if I have a meeting scheduled). I try to telecommute as much as I can and beat the gas prices.
As we don't have a true metro/commuter rail system that runs through my area; I'm stuck with the long-haul and with the gas bill. Such is life. But, I like where I work and I love where I live. It's a trade-off.
