I have made some coasters with an old cd crocheted inside. They are about 5 1/2". Can anyone give me an idea what to charge?

I think we had a discussion about this before, it really all depends on your area. For instance in some areas you could sell an afghan faster than you can make them for approx $250.00 , in other areas you couldn't give them away. So I say check your local gift shops or anywhere there are hand made gifts to get your price idea.

Just remember that whatever you set the price at, you will never get paid for your time. I found this when I was trying to sell crewel embroidery and counted cross stitch pictures, and I've found it to be true again with crochet work. Everyone thinks it's beautiful, but doesn't want to pay more than $25 for an afghan here in my area of WV....

I think that's true of any craft. The trick is to find stores or outlets out of your area, willing to sell your product. You could even offer a dropship type of sale (after they've seen your product, of course!)

I made some beautiful Christmas ornaments that sold for less than $3.50 each where I lived but sold for $12.95 each in California! They were packaged the same and everything else, but were "imported" from another state. Validates the old saying, "no one's a prophet in their own back yard." No one's crafts are as exciting as those from someplace else. Lordy, we humans are weird! <img src="/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
