Newbie here, looking for some help. I'm a SAHM mom of 4; 3 boys (14, 12 and 4)and I finally got my girl, she's almost 2. DH just finished 4 years of college, naturally we're broke. I try to make clothes for my daughter to save on $$ (sometimes boy hand-me-downs just don't cut it!), and have been given LOTS of patterns and fabric. One thing that I keep seeing and desperately want to make for her birthday in April is a set of those darling boutique overalls, but I can't find free directions for them anywhere, and I truly don't have the money to buy either the directions or the overalls. Anyone know where I can find the directions or know how to do things like sew the lace/ruffle on the top of the back pockets or around the edges (and what looks to be underneath) the back pockets? How about the appliques over the pockets? Does that make the pocket useless? How about the yolk that's added on the front sometimes, any special tricks with that or is it pretty much what it looks like? Thanks for your help!

I checked it out online and found that angelswatchoverus.com has a variety of these.

Hi! I was curious about the "boutique overalls" - never heard of them before - they are cute.

If you're looking for an extremely adorable and cheap dress to make (over and over) for your little one, look at the pillowcase dress directions on this website:

http://rowena.typepad.com/photos/pillocase_dresses/dress_front.html
You can also search "pillowcase dress" for others results.
I've made two of these for my 17 month old twin granddaughters. Very easy and cute! Good Luck! Patti

The pillowcase dress is just too cute! My DD is 22 months, but wears a 5T now. Think she's too big for the pillow case dress?
