Hi
I was wondering,can anyone tell me when I can hear from my soon to be husband again. You see he left 2-1-06 For basic training at Ft. Benning. He called once,his second day in reception. What are the odds of him calling me again durning his training? Will He be allowed home anytime before his training is over? This is the first we have been apart in 5 years. I just don't know how long it will take for him to write or call. I know he is very busy. Any help or info would be great.

Normally during basic, they will be able to earn phone privileges. But it could be a few weeks before he is able to call you again. You should receive a standardized letter soon from his commmand that includes his address. When my husband was at Benning, I usually heard from him on average of about once every two weeks - sometimes it was three weeks and sometimes I got lucky and heard from him two weekends in a row!

Is he infantry? If so, he will have a family day or mid-cycle pass at the end of nine weeks. Beyond that, you will not be able to see him until turning blue and graduation day. Again, this assumes he is infantry.
