I'm not sure this post belongs in the "weddings" forum, but I didn't know where else it should go. I'm looking for ideas for a vow renewal ceremony. My husband and I eloped 2 years ago and so we never had a "wedding". I know this really shouldn't matter but it does. Thankfully my husband is understanding, so he has given me total control on planning. The problem is, I have no idea where to start! When I do a search online, I am so overwhelmed with information that I just give up. I would really appreciate some direction here. Thanks for reading! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

A positive attitude will not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Is there a proforma?

here in UK we have a blessing ceremony.
I am designing & making the order of service...do you want me to e-mail you a copy? It may give you a few thoughts.

Hi, I am new to this site but this looks like a good place to start.
My husband told me the other day he would like to marry me again. Well...we've only been married now for going on 28 years. So we decided at our 30th ann. we would get married again. That means I have 2 years to get it together.
One thing we did at our daughters wedding and then at my Inlaws 50th, and we will do it at our remarriage, is instead of using the traditional guest book we had a silver platter and an engraving tool. The guests engraved their names on the platter and they turned out soooo wonderful. They are a wonderful keepsake and useful too.
For other plans I am a florist, caterer, and I do cakes too so all I need for that is to decide what I want and I do it all myself. I also made all the invites for the wedding and anniv. on my computer.
At my daughters wedding they added a "rose ceremony" during the wedding it was so beautiful. I also have the wording for a sand ceremony and one called the blessing of the hands.
If I come up with anything else I will post it. And I will continue to look for ideas for my remarriage.
Good luck and best wishes. [color:"purple"] [color:"purple"]

I do not know if you alrdy got married yet. But my husband and I are planning on renewing our vows on 6th year. That is next year hehe. And do it the way that both always dream that our wedding would be. We will write our own vows this time. And it will be well planned ect. Budget of course. Money always comes issue. We are going have our brothers, sisters our closest friends to be in the wedding party and kids we will be the flowergirls and ring bearer.

Love is the greatest gift in the world so why hide it when you could use it.:)

We want to renew at year 10... that's next April. I told my DH we're keeping it simple. Very, very simple.
