Besides both my children being on the Spectrum I also suffer with asthma and eczema. I decided to try going gluten free to see if my skin would improve and test products my kids like and try to get us all gluten free eventually.

I have been reviewing products that are hits and misses in this endeavor. You will find the food items I have reviewed at this subject heading:

Feel free to share what you have enjoyed while being gluten and/or casein free. I am going to be joining Feingold to see what I can use from their lists and see what I can do between these diets.

We did diet for one year-very strict-with vitamins and nutrients added. Best soures for food-vancesfoods- miss roben- and your local health food store. Although the diet had no effect on our son we feel it is worth a try as it does help some!

I made a GF brownie mix yesterday that was chewy and great tasting. It is gluten and casein free by Bob's Red Mill. I am going to write a review on it this weekend.

I would have never thought the taste would be this good for a GFCF dessert product.

It was easy to make also.

I've had the Bob's Red Mill brownies and I agree they are great. They use a ridiculous amount of butter, I think, but maybe that's why they're so good!

For anyone who is trying to cut gluten from their diets, I just reviewed a great product from Select Wisely that will help you communicate to restaurant staff that you need to stay away from wheat, gluten, or any other type of food allergy. Though I don't have a child with autism, I do have a gluten allergy, so I know how tough it is to eat out! Check out the article and maybe these cards will help you enjoy eating out more.
