now a member of courttv extra.

They only show certain trials. This is not regular
courttv programming. Meaning you won't be able to view
everything, that runs on CourtTV television.

I would like to share with you all a letter I sent to Judge Counts via Mr. Mitchell in support of Cody:

Dear Mr. Mitchell:

This letter is in reference to Cody Posey. I have been a foster mother, in which I helped abused children. When those children came to me, I cried over the frightened looks in their eyes. Cody had the same frightened look in his eyes.

Now that the jury has found him guilty, this sends out a message to all children in New Mexico, who are being abused. This message tells those poor children that it will do them no good to report being abused. This message tells these children that it is alright for an adult to abuse them, attempt or even rape them and the system will be on the side of the adult who commits such a horrible crime. Abuse even to an adult is hard to live with. You have a fear that goes beyond reason. If you think about reporting the abuse or try to run away, you fear that your abuser will find you and the punishment will be worse than before. I understood Cody�s reason for doing what he did, if you can call it reason. After everything that Cody's father did to him, if his father could get away with trying to make him have sex with his step-mother, what would stop his father from making him have sex with his step-sister or even worse, what would stop his father from trying to make Cody have sex with him? So many things go through your mind. The fear takes over and there is absolutely no reasoning in those thoughts. I am sure the only thing Cody could do was try to stop any more from happening to him, any way he could.

Cody was never in serious trouble. He was made a slave in his own home. He was abused from the time he was an infant. Now, it looks as if the State of New Mexico will continue that abuse. Cody will live with the abuse the rest of his life and Cody will also live with the fact that he killed three people the rest of his life. I pray that the Judge will see all of this and give Cody mercy in his sentencing.

Children learn by what they live. Children are our future. Cody needs compassion now more than ever.

Hello Everybody,

Court has taken a 15 minute recess.
Here's an update on what has happened with Cody.

Mitchell and Grisham had gone up to bat.

Grisham, the prosecutor has stated, that Cody is
beyond rehabilitation. She told Judge Count, that he
is not treatable -- "There is no place on this planet,"
that could possibly rehabilitate him. In other words,
he is just alittle monster.

Grisham, reminded the Judge, that if Cody was 3 years
older and had killed Marilea, because she would have
been a witnessed, then there would be no question
about him being sentenced as an adult.
Plus, he would be getting the death penalty.

She reminded the Judge, that she spent 30 years
dealing with & advocating for Abused children.
All children cannot be saved. And, unfortunately
Cody cannot. Why? He is a psychopath.


Mitchell, stated "Thank God everyone doesn't feel
the same way as Grisham does." "I have rec'd thousands
of emails and letters."

Then, he goes on to tell Judge Count about the letters
from the 6 Jurors asking for Cody to be sentenced as
a child, about the letters from NM, across the World etc.

The people within Cody's community have emailed Mitchell
stating they would adopt him. Mitchell, has rec'd 100's
from within NM & outside of NM, saying the very same thing.

He reminds the court not to dismiss the fact, that Cody's
Abusers were psychopaths. He discusses the Abuse, what
type of abuse, etc.

He quotes court cases, as to why Cody should be, must be
sentenced as a child. He states, that he will bring in
therapists proving, that Cody is treatable and has already responded to treatment, etc.

What was so Funny -- Grisham tried to get weepy
& alittle choked up when she was pleading to Judge Count,
not to let Cody back out on the streets for the Publics Safety.

To me that was like trying to watch Charles Manson.

Okay, let me get back.

Hey Katy Bug!

Welcome to the Forum -- And, thanks for sharing!

When you see the "fright" in Cody's eyes, what kind of
fright are you now seeing? Are you seeing the fright of
my life is completely destroyed, it's gone, it's over?

Or do you see deeply in his eyes, that he sees only more
abuse to come? Because, if he stays in the environment
he is currently residing & living in -- he's got a brand
new kind of neverending abuse.

"And you talking about the message."
I am so tired of hearing grown adults say,
"What kind of message is this going to send to KIDS -- That, it is okay to kill your parents."

The message should be easily understood by now.
"Parents quit abusing your children."
And, this was not everyday normal abuse -- but then
again it was. You work with abused kids, so you know.
Children are abused like this, everyday of the week.
They are not putting up with it anymore.

It's like the battered woman. They are fighting back.
With guns and bullets. Where are they getting the guns
and bullets? From moms and dads.

Okay, I know I've said alot.

Round 2

After the 15 minute recess, Grisham put on her witnesses.
Even though, they made me mad enough to literally want
to spit. Everytime, they opened their mouthes they gave
more credence as to Why Cody should be sentenced as a
juvenile.

Chris Clementis - Paul Posey's life long friend.
They grew up together and was raised the same exact way.
And, he didn't consider this to be "abuse."
Okay, so we don't have to go any further with that.
He talked alot of great words. He used the appropriate
lawyer language, but the more he spoke the more he buried
himself in a pile of manure. He completely became a
very good witness on Cody's behalf.

Verlin Posey's Wife, stated Cody is unremorseful.
"He didn't steal candy from a baby. I ask that you
give my nephew a lifetime in a maximum security prison."

It's up in the air, as to whether she & her husband will
be hauled in court on perjury charges when this is all
over with, because they have told so many lies. Plus,
they went into the home and burned evidence.

Marliea's Grandfather, called Cody a "molester" and
so many other filthy names, the camera zoomed in on
Judge Count and his face was sickened.
Now his words were the best ones so far as to why
Cody should be sentenced as a juvenile.

When, they finished with Cody -- he was Raped & Abused,
all over, again.

Gotta go, the clock on the wall,
saids Court is in Session.

Round 3

Just a few more witnesses for the prosecution.

Cody's cousin spoke. He had his 5 minutes of fame.
Basically, said Cody couldn't have been abused, because
they were raised the same way. They were both disciplined
the same exact way. And, if Cody had ever been abused,
then Cody would have told him. Plus, Cody had a
trampoline and a PLAYSTATION, how could he claim Abuse?

Dr. Sosa, the psych doctor has been on the stand.
Now, he's really scary. Did you all know, that by
the time you are 5 years old, your personality has
been set in place. What you are at that age, is what
you will be at age 40, age 50. Isn't that interesting.

We he finished describing psychopathic tendencies
I wondered if I was one. Don't get scared.
And, don't laugh -- cause I wondered if the entire
world was one. Leave it to him and his diagnosis.

Just as foolish as he sounded -- is as foolish as
Gary Mitchell made him look under cross examination.

Sometimes, I truly believe people say things just
to hear themselves talk.

He believes Cody was a psychopath by the age of 5.
Do you think Cody might have had a few problems,
after witnessing the domestic violence demonstrated
towards him mother? Do you think Cody might have had
a few issues trying to protect his "blind sister" from
the cross fires of domestic violence occurring in the
home. I know he was only 3 to 4 years old, but....

Grisham, is smiling like she has conquered Rome.
You can see the sense of Joy on her face.
I don't know how she could possibly as a human being
find any solace, that a young 16 year old -- may be
spending the rest of his life in a prison.

that was all very interresting today.. i watched it on Court Tv extra.. Grisham was trying to say how Cody is a pyschopath.. but the pyschologist there said " Not every murderer is a pyhschopath".. that was wierd.. but pretty interesting..i cant believe there were even letters of people saying they would adopt cody.. " The cost of the governor's air plane, is more money than how much it is to help abused children"..that is one of the quotes i wrote down from when Mr.Mitchell was telling about the laws of abused children in New Mexico

Watching trials on CourtTV extra is very different
than viewing them on regular CTV programming.

Doctors, today are labelling & using the diagnosis
sociopath and psychopath, very differently & much
more freely, than it was used 30 to 40 years, ago.

Gary Mitchell, was quite upset expressing to the court
the cost of the Governor's airplane cost -vs- the
expense New Mexico will spend to help their abused
children.

I'm glad you found this of interest. I hope this was
educational for you.

What Mr. Mitchell spoke of are the very reasons why
we must consider who we vote into office.
Those are the very reasons why we must write our
Policymakers, when we as Voters & Citizens are
Unsatisfied.

Well, Tuesday was a very interesting day in court.
Regular viewing of Cody's sentencing trial can be
seen on CourtTV.

It was a very hard day for Cody.
Harsh, very harsh things were said about him.

Of course, alot of it came out of the mouth of
Sandra Grisham. She attacked the witnesses for
Defense. Grisham, in my opinion ranted & raved.
I know she rolled her eyes quite a few times, when
she didn't like or get the response, that she wanted.

James Forester, a lifelong friend of Paul Posey's
and Cody's deceased mother, had quite a story of
"abuse" to tell.

When Cody was 2-3 years old, in diapers Paul would
beat Cody & hurl him across the room. He'd beat him
so hard you could watch the "urine & feces" pour out
of his diapers. He testified, he had watched Paul
lash Cody at this age, 50 to 70 times non-stop.

Paul sat Cody outside in the winter between age 7 to 10,
with only a shirt on. It was his punishment.
He went to check on Cody every Sunday for years.
Paul told him to quit coming. To stay out of his
business. That was his son and he could raise him
as he seen fit.

Grisham, made an excellent point. She brought to the
courts attention, that he was a Mental Health Specialist
and never reported ABUSE.

Dr. Robert Buser, is fighting tooth and nail for Cody.
He doesn't find Cody to be a socio or psychopath.
He is a psychiatrist at the facility where Mitchell
is trying to get Cody moved back to & placed in.

Buser, has worked with Cody. He disputed all the
negative accusations, that have been lodged against
Cody.

What is Judge Counts going to do?
I wish I knew. There is no way he does not know,
that Cody was truly abused in the worst kind of way.
But, he killed 3 people.

I believe Judge Counts, has even stepped inside Cody's
shoes, within his own mind. I believe Judge Counts,
in the privacy of his thoughts, could even say
I know why you killed them.

Paul Posey went passed the line of abuse.
He took it into torture.

Even though I'm pretty sure & without a doubt, but
I could be wrong the Judge knows this.
But, I truly believe it is going to take a MIRACLE
for Cody to be sentenced as a juvenile.

But, guess what? I believe in Miracles, they happen
everyday.
