I started FFX-2 last week. I don't really like the battle system so I am still getting used to that, but it's [retty interesting. You have control of the airship (which is totally upgraded like CRAZY) and can go anywhere, but the guide suggests to go to certain places in a certain order to get all the completion percentage of the game. The dress spheres are cool, but I hate how you are attacked when they change, and sometimes it takes me a minute to read everything and figure out which dress sphere to use and you get attacked.

The guide, well, it sucks. It has little screen shots in order to show what you should do, but the writing in the paragraphs to explain everything is a lot and small so you hafta pause the game and take a couple min to read it, so that kinda sucks. It's a good game though, but I think everything should have been consistent with X since it is a sequel, such as keeping the aeons, battle system, similar people (like Lulu and Wakke who...

BIG SPOILER!!!

are having a baby!!)

i think they should have kept the sphere grid also. I dont like how when you change dress spheres, you have to go to the closest one then move again to get to the one you want if they are not right next to eachother.

I still like it though.

I bought it two days ago, $20 at wal-mart. and ive played it for about 5 hours total so far, ive learned some decent abilities and gotten a few dresspheres. my characters are about at level 14. so far i like it, i like being able to choose the abilities i learn, and seeing the charging time for each player again. i believe it was like that in FFVIII, but its been a while.

i was kind of skeptical at the beginning though, because of the pop star singing part.

does anyone know why chocobos appear during battles? they always run away, are you supposed to catch them or something?

X-2 is...what it is...it's a sequel to X. The power grid (sphere grid you mean to level up charaters?) is gone, theres an easier way, in my opinion, to level up...you select the ability you want to learn, and then just fight battles until you learn it (by acquiring pts). I dont think the story or game in general is as good as X, but the replayability is good, Through out the game you make decisions that alters the story, and there are multiple endings...6 to be exact, I seen all 6 so if you need help figuring out how to get which endings, let me know.

X2 is what it's meant to be....a sequel. Sequels are usually never better than the originals. In my opinion x2 doesnt hold a candle to x, but its still a fun game to play. That annoying sphere grid is gone and theres a much easier way to level up, you select the ability you want to learn and just fight battles and you will learn the ability as you earn points. But the fun thing about x-2 is throughout the game you make decisions that alters the story and there are multiple endings....6 to be exact. I seen them all so if you need info on what needs to be done to get a particular ending let me know.
