My friend has fibroids- small, pink scars that they don't know why they appear. She hates them and is considering getting a tattoo over one that really bothers her, but she hasn't found any info about whether a tattoo will be a problem. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

Fibroids are a type of tissue tumor.... are you sure this is what is your friend has on her skin? I'd be more willing to guess that your friend has keloids, which are a type of scar tissue bump.

Tattooing over them can make them grow or get bigger, as the scar tissue forms due to skin friction or trauma.
