Hello all I have a question about colouring hair. I am normally a blonde, but a few days ago I coloured my hair red with a permenant at home dye kit. I am not really happy with it and would like to dye it blonde again, but I am not sure how long I have to wait to do it now, nor do I know if I can use another at home kit or do I have to go to the salon to make sure I won't damage my hair. Any help is appreciated, thank you all

hi there...I think you could contact the company of the product you used and I'm sure they could probably answer or you could ask a professional hairdresser who specializes in colouring...also if you bought it from drugstore, sometimes they know the answer...

If it were me...I would wait a while because you don't want to dry or damage your hair with too much colouring...

If you shampoo it a few times, it may fade. Red usually fades very fast. However, since you don't want it, it may just stay in there
Another home kit, will not fix it. The color will have to be removed with a color remover or bleach. Then the color you want will have to be put in.

I suggest contacting a hairdresser and having it done professionaly for the best result.
Whatever you do, condition, condition, before and after.

Hi all. Sorry about your probs. Red would be my first choice for covering my gray. How about rinses? Can these be used to try out a new color? I tried some dark red ones to cover my blonde some years ago, but it seemed forever to wash out. Are these improved? Hi Della
Certain products called rinses are made to wash out of the hair.
Even permanent red haircolor will fade fast. Blonde hair almost always requires a filler before the red tint is applied. A filler replaces some of the color that was bleached out.
