Hi Gordon.

Your birds are beautiful. I hope you will drop by to help answer Lovebird questions from time to time.

You may post pictures here and maybe share some of your breeding stories with us too.

I love all the action shots! Your birds are beautiful!!! I have 2 lovies, Jade, a seagreen and Peaches, my lutino. S/he's totally red-headed now. I hand raised both. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Please don't put them together right away. The new bird should be quarantined to protect both of them. After the quarantine period (minimum of 45 days), you can introduce them slowly. Do not just put the new bird into your current bird's cage.

Weeeeel..... I tried, but my little lutino was anxious, and now they are together. they like spending time together already. Only problem is that he is very tamed, and she is new, and little bit scared. She would like to go anywhere he goes, but, as I said, she's still scared. However, there was no need for quarantine since he is very nice little bird, and was happy to have company. He's not bothering her, always trying to call her, to show her everything... she is watching him and I have feeling that she is trying to learn...

The reasons for quarantine are for the health of both your birds. If the new bird is ill (& they hide their illnesses well), you may soon have two sick birds on your hands.
