I have a dear friend in the U.k. that sins yarn as well, and I'm rying to think of a wonderful gift for her, but i'm running out of time!
Anyone have ideas?

If she's of the Christian faith you could get her a lamb of some kind - either whimsical or one of the Daedaco(I think I'm spelling that right) carvings.

That way it would represent the "Lamb" of Christmas, and a lamb's wool used in spinning!

I agree! And actually, even if she isn't Christian, in the UK lamb and sheep figurines are much more popular than here in the states, so she's probably enjoy it anyway. Here are some more ideas:
