Fans know Angle is an excellent wrestler and gives 110% every time he is in the ring. He also has a great way of connecting with the fans, whether he is whining, acting goofy, or serious. The latest cheers and chants do tell me he may end up turning face soon. He is a great heel but when the fans decide they like you and start to cheer you --- it's time to turn. I think he will be accepted as a face easily and that the fans, despite the "You Suck" chants, truly respect his workrate. I know I do.
He's crazy! Wrestling writh a broken neck TWICE and making every match seem very stiff and real. He's a great addition to the WWE roster. I just wish more amateur wretslers would turn pro and come on over. They have all the skills, they only need to learn the pro style.
Not all can do that but some can as we see with Angle.
I agree that workers need to know how to sell submissions. In true wrestling or in UFC, the moves that both Angle and Benoit use could literally snap a guy's bones in half if they don't tap fast. I like it when a workers sells the pain of the submission hold and sells it after it is released because, even though they tapped, they would still be in a ton of pain if the hold was really locked on. More wretslers need to understand submission holds and how painful they really are. Angle makes his ankle lock look very real. In fact, he makes everything he does look real. Many could and should learn from him in the ring.
