I just saw the commercial for this one... I think it looks cute. I esp love the scene where they are trying to leave the message on the answering machine, lol. Anyone else plan to see it?

NO! Just the commerical drove me crazy lol. It was bad enough I lasted cheaper by the dozen. But adding 6 more kids my gawd! Ok yes its cute but I hate it when kids trying to ruin love between a couple. Its like think about more kids more fun you just might find somebody you really like and get along with. Yes the answering machine part was cute. My fiance will only watch it on DVD. Cause I'm already dragging him to see Chicken Little with no kids lol.

LOL... I guess i can appreciate a movie like that and be thankful I don't have that many kids! I'm planning to probably check it out in theaters. If i do, I'll let you know what I think.

I loved the original...it is a classic. But I really hate it when they remake these movies.

I just reviewed the classic for the classic film site. It was so funny. I want to see this one too, so I can compare the 2. I agree that most remakes are not as good. The original had some great one liners.

My favorite part was when Henry Fonda was taking Lucille Ball to the hospital to have the baby.

Fonda: "I've got a message for Larry, you tell him this is what it's all about, this is the real happening. Take a look around you. Take a good look at your mother."

Ball: "Not now"

Fonda: "Yes, now, it's giving life that counts, until you're ready for it all the rest is just a big fraud. All the crazy haircuts in the world won't keep it turning. Life isn't a love in it's the dishes and the orthodontist and the shoe repairman and ground round instead of roast beef. I'll tell you something else, it isn't going to a bed with a man that proves you're in love with him; it's getting up in the morning and facing the drab, miserable, wonderful everyday world with him that counts. I suppose having 19 kids is carrying it a bit too far but if we had it to do over who would we skip..you?

I thought about that speech a few times after he said it. It is really true. When most get married, it is about the love. Then it stops being fun and they want out. It was the best part of the movie.

This was one of my favorite funny quotes.
Mike Beardsley: Well, why should she have mor? morning sickness!
[rolls his eyes in disbelief]
Family Doctor: We need a sample of your blood.
Mike Beardsley: Take it all!

I never saw the new one, but LOVE the original. I have seen it 100 times. My sis and I used to watch it all the time when we were younger. My fave part was when they got her drunk, too funny!
