He he he.. I got "Mr. Brown" too. The funny thing is that when you get the yarn, you get free patterns for MORE than one skein. Oh well. I am still deciding what to do with it. Hopefully not another scarf!

Got mine last week (Mr. Brown), also got the skein that I had sent to my aunt (she lives across the street from me) and it was the same color.

Since I dont like the furry stuff, I just stuffed both skeins into an envelope (with the knitting patterns) and sent it to my sister in AZ who just recently re-learned how to knit. She'll probably get more enjoyment out of it than I would.

I finally got mine and it isn't the color I wanted, I got brown also. Now I know I shouldn't complain about free stuff but why ask us what color we want if you are just going to send us all the same color ????

NO NO NO !!!!

I think the Co. doesn't like ME !!

I like them.
I have made several Knitted Scarves for gifts with their Disco yarn and a Christmas tree.
Oh well I guess they gave all they had away.
I bought the last of the Disco Green and the Aqua and Purple
at Wal-mart.

What can you make with one skein? Well try doing some of those little wrist cuffs. Make some collar and or cuff edges on a sweater or blouse. Make head bands.

You could take some little girls socks and just do a ruffle around the top. Add it to another yarn for the cuff portion of a hat.

A really cute idea is to make really tiny hats and use foam balls to make a snowman with a furry hat, you can add a little fur scarf for a decoration on your tree.

You could make a necktie scarf. Those don't have to be very big, you just need one fold and they hang low across the chest, or make a collar that is removable that can have a pin to hold it on. You can get some cute pins to use it with.

Put it in the cuff of slippers/mittens to add a touch of elegance to them. Could make a great gift item.

Want to make a special collar for a dog/cat. Do a tube to slip over a regular collar and you have a furry collar that everyone will want for their pets.

Have an old purse that you love but is needing a face lift. Does it have a removable handle? Then make a slipover like the dog collar thing but for your purse handle. Not removable, then make it flat and stitch it around that handle. You could do some other things like this depending on the bag, or do some decorations to glue on to the outside of the purse. Is the lining gone? Use the fur to make a new lining for it.

Make a small little clutch purse with it, put a linner in it.

Got kids who love bean bag games. Make them a special furry one (will need special insides to hold the beans).

Use it on the straps of sandals/thongs.

Make a cell phone, pda, mp3, ipod holder.

Do vertical/horizantal stripes with it through out a hat.

Using another yarn for the body, and the fur for the cuff make a cozy for your flashlight, potted plant, vase, etc.

Oh there are so many more ideas that will only take a little yarn and the best thing it is free. I got Mr. Brown and it is very pretty.

Wow, thanks for all of those ideas. I am sure I can probably use quite a bit of them.

I was so excited when I received my yarn and went on a hunt for patterns that would use just one skein. I found a few scarf patterns and thought it would make a great gift for my sister in the mainland. (as we don't use scarves in Hawaii)...anyway...to my surprise, I found this yarn very difficult to work with. I still would like to try and make something, but anyone have any ideas or pointers for working with the yarn.

I did not really care for the look of it when held together with another yarn - and even then, I had problems with it.

I use LARGE Crochet hooks and LARGE Kniting needles when working with this yarn.
The sc is the only stitch that is needed when using this yarn cause it fluffs up and you can't see the stitches any way.
I hope I get Brown, cause they didn't have any at the stores I shopped at.
That is if I do get my FREE skein of yarn.

Many who can't work with this Fun yarn alone , use another plain yarn with it .
I haven't tried this idea.

The Knifty Knitter Loom makes a very fuzzy hat with this Yarn. My G-daughter had a ball( going nuts )trying to keep track of the loops.
The end ite is rewarding.
I love it when the ladies at church and even the Pastor run their hands over the Scarves I have worn. I have given several to friends at church
