Well I am now on bed rest until the babies are born. Was told yesterday by my doctors to take it easy. Pretty hard with 2 1/2 year old twins running wild. My parents are going to come and stay with us until the babies are born to help out with Colton and Caleb, and my husbands parents are coming over too...which will be nice. My husband bought me a laptop (nice of him) so I have something to do other than watch t.v. I wasnt on bed rest with my boys, I didnt get as big with them either, and was only 3 weeks early with them. Both of them weighed in at 6 pounds.

Has anyone been on bed rest? What did you do with your time? How did you manage to stay connected with your kids you already have?

I know that I can have limited activity, but I am worried about the well being of the babies...I am scared, and not staying connected to my boys worries me.

They say I will deliver in about 4 weeks, well they are hoping that long, as are we. I am not sure I can handle not being able to play with the boys, making them dinner, giving them baths...I will make it a point to read their bedtime stories.

If anyone could give me advise I will be forever greatful as no one in my family has had to endure this before.

Thank you

My daughter was on bed rest the last month of her pregnancy. She stayed on the couch so she could be around the action and not feel isolated in the bedroom. She let the 2 older kids come and sit next to her - they were 3 and 6. Hope that tip works for you sometimes.

She was allowed up to the bathroom and to make herself a sandwich - that's it.

I was on bed rest with both of my kids. The last few weeks with the first one and most of the second one. I have problems with my cervic, so this is one of the main reasons I don't want to have more kids. Both of my kids were sick when they were born is another reason. With my second one, I felt very cut off from my son. When my daughter was born, I felt like I had to get to know my son again because I had family taking so much care of him. It was weird trying to reconnect with him. I felt very guilty.
