Well, I was looking, and I haven't started a new game in about a month; so..... let's go!

Asthma ABC's: here's the rules - Each word in the thread must be somehow related to asthma (pretty wide area, that), BUT you must go in ABC order.
Example: if we were doing animals 1st person says:
Ant - the next says
Bear - the next says
Cat - and so on
But we are doing asthma, so the first word is ( I know y'all are going to be shocked by this one!)

[color:"ORANGE"] ASTHMA!!!!! [/color]

OK - next person, you get the letter "B"
(BTW - Parthena, the Dreams editor has 7 pages {4 rounds} of this and is still going! We've at least got to try to catch up.)

Okaaayyyyy... I'll take "D"

Diaphragm - the large muscle underneath the lungs that expands and contracts to assist in breathing; it also defines the chest area from the abdomen.

(How's that for technical?)

Now somebody else get in here with "E"!

eczema

(since there seems to be a link between the two diseases.... A huge percentage of sufferers of asthma have eczema and vice versa.... I discovered a few years ago that my "eczema" was actually a skin allergy to petroleum-based glycerine and when I eliminated products that contained it... e.g. most commercial soaps, shampoos, lotions and toothpaste, my skin was suddenly fine)

All right, it's a little bit of a reach... I couldn't think of anything else!!!

Flovent - an inhaled corticosteroid often prescribed for people suffering from asthma.

HIVES

If I start to break out in hives, I know it's time to isolate myself (usually in the shower, but if I had a plastic bubble I might go for it) and take a big fat dose of allergy meds.... a severe allergy attack might be on the way, and allergy attacks often head into asthma attacks.

Inhale - asthmatics usually don't have so much of a problem with this during an attack; it's the exhaling that nearly suffocates them. Problem is you can't breathe in the good air, until you get out the old, stale air!
