I'm getting married next october and I was wondering when is a good time to start sending out invitations?? I don't want to be too late but I also don't want to send them out so early that people forget all together. Also, how could I refresh their memories once I have already sent them out? Thanks for any help.

I think the typical ethics is to send out invitations 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding. If you want people to book the date earlier then you can send "save the date" cards before then so that they can mark it in their calendars. Then when they get the formal invitation it's a nice reminder and has all of the details that you might not know until 6 to 8 weeks before hand.
