Andrzejki Dance- what should I expect??

My family had dinner at my former Polish teacher's house on Saturday, and she mentioned the Andrzejki Dance to be put on by the "new Polish church" in St. Louis this month as an opportunity to get together again and enjoy some Polish culture: Dinner, dance, wine, and entertainment.

She mentioned "fortune telling", and wax and old keys... Can someone tell me of this event? Is it a traditional event, or a �fabricated, Americanized" event?
