Thanks Mother Hen . I liked the small bear . He seems to be about 4 1/2 inches tall. Think I will try the fur type yarn. I think I'm on my way to being a bear. No smoking makes me want to munch.
THANKS Mother Hen

Smoke Free for 8 days. I've made it this far. Does anyone know how long the urge to smoke lasts? Eating too much too. I may get as big as a bear. Thinking about walking every day. Thanks for all the support .

I quit smoking in January of 1999 and still have an occasional time when I have the urge to smoke. However, it doesn't last very long and the quickest thing that will kill that urge is to smell cigarette smoke (yuuuuuuuk!). Here's a tip - when you have that urge, drink a glass of cold water. That seemed to take care of the urge for me plus it makes sure you're getting your daily water intake. Don't succumb to using food as a substitute. And the nicotine patches & gums only replace the delivery method of the addictive substance.

I quit smoking in the late 80's and I was sitting at Burger King the other day drinking coffee and watching their T.V.
It was the day everyone was stopping smoking for the day.
That seemed to be the only thing the news wanted to talk about and all of a sudden I had the strongest desire for a cigarette. Haven't had one of those desires for a long time.
I agree with Hobittwife don't substitute eating for the habit.
Working out is a good option, it keeps you busy and raises your endorphines.

Glad to hear your disire for a cigarette is far apart. My munching seems to be leveling out. Have been to busy for walking and its getting cold here now. Maybe I will try some extra house cleaning and painting a room up for my crafts. I have a extra room would be great for that. Considering one of my kids don't move back in again.lol.
