To all the people of Polonia on this forum. How many have family that passed through Ellis Island?

I know that my folks came on the ship Batory and passed through Ellis Island. <img src="/images/graemlins/viking.gif" alt="" />

Both my maternal and paternal grandparents - plus some aunts and uncles - came through Ellis Island.

My ancestors arrived in US in 1886, so they came through Castle Garden, just before Ellis Island opened. They came from Posen/Poznan. Anyone from that area?

I also have relatives, on my paternal site, that went through Ellis Island. As far as I remember my Great Grandfather came to US around 1905 and then 1909. One of my aunts was even born there. But then they came back to Poland. Some of his relatives, however, settled down there.
They were from Dulcza Wielka (Galicya - Austrian part of Poland).
And my aunt was born in Middletown - but I guess there might be quite a few Middletowns in the USA:)
Many greetings:)

My great grandfather and my great grandmother came thru Ellis Island. He came in 1906 on Carpathia from Triest and she came in 1909 on Graf Waldersee from Hamburg. They meet in New York Mill, NY and started family there. Before returning to Poland in 1930 they had three daughters, one of which was my grandmother. My father, who was first to go "back" to the U.S. came to Philadelphia in 1991. Then rest of us came. His mother never returned to live in the U.S. She just visited.
Pozdrowienia.
