Hello all, my name is Charles, I live in the Pacific North West in Edmonds Washington (USA). I am some what intiminated by the high level of education that the most of you enjoy. I must first confess that I am not of Polish origen, but, most likly just common dirt American of common common. But, I like all of you. You are as of a family, very close, very dear to one another, and very nice.

I am a married man of 65 years (age) and my wife (dear heart) is a few years the younger of my self.

what may I contribute to your forum? Only my thoughts and intinsic knowledge of the German. Also, my love of man (not biblical, but, sociol)

I do look forward to meeting all, and perhaps, of an equal exchange of information/mutual enjoyment exchange.

My back ground is in law enforcement/investigation/resource administrater/researcher/under the long past J.Edger Hoover FBI programmes. (as you will note, I as a person am an old goat of an old era that long has dissappeared, but then)

Thank you all

Hello Chris, how nice to hear from you, and thank you so very much for your very warm welcom, it is most apprciated.

It is so much as of the very first day of school, to enter as an unknown into a new room filled with lovely people, but, being a bit afraid, and being new, to make a good impression, and still not let others know how much you knees are actually shaking.

It would so seem though, that we do have some thing very much in common, the Pacific North West! And yes, it still rains as much when you left, as of now. Today, it is raining. Would not want the rain birds to suffer now would we.....

The traffic is still deplorable, the taxes are just as high, and the joggers are still very much abundant.

You were the smart one, you relocated to Florida, lucky thing you...

It is good to meet you my new friend....

Hi Charles...welcome to the board. I to noticed that sometimes these postings are way over my expertise but I jump in when I can and give my 2Cents worth. (as you can see in much short tiem I am a jellyfish <img src="/images/graemlins/fish.gif" alt="" /> ) I am only a 59 yr old acctng asst but interests are many so I have a wide age range I can identify with. been there done that but no rocket scientist ...LOL. When it gets too heady for me I just check th other forums. PS I was born in Germany and came here at age of 3 and in 1975 went to Bad Toelz. I love Germany almost as much as Poland.

Hello rdywenur, thank you for your very nice welcom and also of your insights. You are a very brave and insightfull lady, your post describe of your thoughts and feelings, and you are not afraid to say so, I like you..

So, you are from Germany, that is good. It is good that you have an intrincsic knowledge of Western Europe to form a basis of understanding of our world and that of North America that we live in.

Perhaps in time, we may have an exchange perhaps, I am registered with the German Embassy (Botschaft) in DC Washington, and, receive weekly and daily news and information. This is not so much a big deal,as you may do the same in as much as any other person.

It is good to hear from you. My new friend

Charles,
Actually I was born on the dry side of the state and lived in Moscow (Idaho) until my husband was activated and posted to US CENTCOM in Tampa.
I am not enamored of Florida and we can't wait to get out of here. Too many people and no community. Our son is stationed in Germany and absolutley loves it there. He will be going to Iraq later this year or just after the first of next year. One of my grandmothers spoke plattdeutsch and very broken english so we grew up speaking both.
I am so glad you are here.
