Moonflow South Wharf - Elephant Ride - Al Bhed steals Yuna and an extractor has her captive. This thing rises up and drop charges. Is there a special way to defeat this thing? I have tried over and over and I get killed everytime. Any advice?!?!

Train up, use the sword that Tidus has that has an elemental strike or touch (i forget which one)

the enemy is weak against Lightning, and the elemental weapon is lightning

when u kill the negator thingy summon the lightning hourse guy then right before the powerfull thing use sheild

Also, Lulu's Overdrive with lightning will help

Get wakka to use the lightning ball thing and tidus the lightning sword thing. I did it first time.

But...how can you use Lulu in the battle to save Yuna?
When you are trying to defeat the extractor, you can only use Tidus and Wakka..am I right? I too, am having trouble trying to defeat the extractor.

just try to use the lightning sowrd and ball Tidus and Wakka ,, also if u have some OverDrives mods like alley set them on so u can use ur Overdrive .. or if u don't have it u can try to charge them before riding the Elephant (anywhere before the battle)

Where do you get the lighting ball for Wakka?
I tried looking at the merchants goods, but they don't have it.
Also...how does Tidus learn Haste/Cheer?

Well, Lets try it my way. Fight monsters and summon the aeons, when their overdrive full, dismiss them. Do that to every of your aeons. Before the battle, make sure ALL your aeons are on overdrive. And i reckon your characters too. That machine has 60k health??or something like that, at this stage, your aeon's overdrive should do around 9999 damage without the celestial weapons. If not, TRAIN YOU ARE WEAK!!!. Get your Wakka to blast the flying negator. Dead, use Yuna and summon ur overdrived aeons AND BLAST that machine. And by the way, while you are using your aeons, it sometimes have another negator out, but don't worry, your aeon's overdrive can hit all enemies. BECAREFUL OF THE MANA BEAM, THATS THE ONLY REASON YOU DIE EVERYTIME. The machine will never be able to kill you without that stupid mana beam. After each mana beam be sure to change low health characters to hgih health ones. And the aeons speed, Valefor and Shiva are the fastest aeons, if lucky enough to survive 1 or 2 hits from the machine after you used the aeon's overdrive, you will get another full overdrive bar. Oh yeah i'm sorry you hav'nt got Shiva yet, but you will later. That means..... Valefor Ifrit and Ixion. Ixion's attack deals the most to the machine. Once all your aeons are dead, the machine should'nt have much health left, use your strongest characters to defeat it. After Mana beam, try use mega potion. Oh and by the way, HASTE. Oh sorry, you are up to the machine in the water. Eh? it wasn't hard to defeat it, i killed it the first time, i reckon you to play blitzball and get wakka's better overdrive, the second one should be attack reels, you have to spin the slots, get 2 2 2 and its 6 but it doubles, = 12 hits,erm.. at your stage, 1k hit ? erm.. im not sure.. but you might just have to train up and get more powerful with Tidus wakka and auron. Wait, have you got rikku yet? coz she uses grenades and does pretty much damage to machines but each grenade.. 300? to 500 damage and stays there even if you have rikku 255 strength but then her attack rises not grenade damage... hope this helps.
