Hey, I just got asked by a friend at work to make his little, adorable, son a sweater for Hallowe'en, for part of his costume.

I need to find a pattern for a long sweater, but the makes the stiches look like chainmail. The son is going as an English Knight, and needs a Tunic

If anyone has any they can lend me, or know of, I'd appreciate it

Hmm, I don't know of any but I do have a suggestions, try using an afghan hook and work doing the purl stitch, that will certainly make it look like chainmail.

Thank you so much for this one... I showed it to Dave (the father) today and he loves it. he just wants a sweater type thing, so i'm getting his son's measurements, but thanks again for all the great links!
It just killed me last night, there's 5468736285 patterns for knitting, and none for crocheting =\
