I am going to post the name of a bulb flower. The next person to post should take the last letter of the flower I name and post a bulb beginning with that letter. If there is no actual bulb beginning with that letter, then use a description of a bulb like a color, size, type (corm, rhizome, etc.). This should be fun and, hopefully, will introduce us to new types of bulbs.

My first bulb is DAFFODIL.
The next person should post a bulb flower that begins with "L".

Who is going to be first????

Welcome! Glad you came to play. You are right - there are no "Y" bulbs, but I can go with a Yellow Fritillaria.

Well, Connie, it looks like you and I are the only two playing. Let's see if we can come up with some unusual bulbs. Mine, today, that begins with "S" is Sternbergia (autumn crocus). You're next unless someone else wants to join in!

I have to admit that I am relatively new to bulb gardening and wouldn't know what was unusual or your everyday garden variety bulb! So I cheated and did an online search: Asarum maximum http://www.hiddenhousebulbs.com/acatalog/Asarum_.html

Connie, I'm glad you looked up a name; this will begin to introduce all of us to new bulbs and will give me fodder for new articles.

My offering beginning with an "M" is:

Moraea - butterfly iris - not hardy, usually grown as a houseplant.
