I haven't fully read over the other replies yet, but it seems that a lot of you do international travel. I would love to do that at some point. However, at this point DH and I love to travel within the U. S. We took a road trip for our honeymoon and also for our first anniversary and had a blast. DH tried to tell people how much we love being able to leave for two weeks without having a kid to care about and friends asked where we went where we couldn't take kids? Well that's not the point - we are able to go when and where we want without having to bring kids along. So far we have been to North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, Alabama, and Kentucky. This year for our trip we plan on heading out west and see how far we can make it.
We just love the freedom of being able to see our great country without having to worry about children. Yes, parents can go on a road trip with kids, but then they'd have to worry about making sure they have enough sleep, changing them, and basically working around their schedule (whether they're feeling well, cranky, tired, hungry, etc). It's nice to just be me and DH and we get to plan everything. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
