People on the motorcycles are called sometimes "organ donors" in the USA. But I have a real problem with the bikers here.
Very often when I drive to work - it is usually still dusk there - I see or not see bikers driving on the site of the road because these guys notoriously do not have ANY LIGHTS!!!!
I do not know - whether they are reckless, want to get killed or maybe there is no rule in Idaho that people on the bikes should have lights but it is reall hard to see them!
I wish there was a charity to donate lights to the cyclists - because I feel that many of them can become victims of the traffic accidents if they just do not care for their own safety.
I never ecountered this problem in Poland where bikers are required to have their lights on at nights.
How about "road kill" Jaga? If they are driving Harley Davidsons, I don't think they need your donation. In fact, if they are driving Harleys, they probably have more money than they know what to do with.
Ther is a charity organization in Poland which distributes "reflections" to children so that they don't get run down. The bikers are obliged to have lights but they do not always have them. Not mentioning that they're not always sober...
Bicycle Riding in Poland was good stuff for me. I had the flashing red light in the back and a pretty nice halogen light for night riding. Had a few close calls with motorists though.

I am surprised. The bikers in my family and ones I know and see most always have the lights on, even during the day. THey know this is a good survival strategy - even daylight lights make them more visible. Now some of these same pepole will object to mandatory helmet laws.
Maybe those who insist in riding without lights in dusk or dark have enough Neanderthaler in them to survive being pounced around like a ping pong ball. I keep an eye out for them. It would sure mess up my day to wreck my car on them!
