Why do I care to see she show? I don't own a TV anyway.

The kind of parents they are is irrelevant. I could give a rats @$$ less about how they raise their herd, it is the principle.

40 years ago there was about 3 billion people on earth, today there is around 6.5 billion, and by 2050 there will be around 9 billion. There is no way we can sustain that much human life on this planet, especially with our way of life. Humans destroy everything they touch. We have destroyed this planet with our pollutants (hence cancer rates, birth deffects, and other diseases) and will eventually destroy ourselves. Plus, earth has her own way of balancing things. Our earth will eventually commit mass genocide on the human race, and it will be in my life time, I think it is far better to just not have so many people than to have so many die.

I understand what you're saying about population, and points others have made about there being so many adoptable kids as it is. But I'm *much* more concerned about the billions of people out there who have kids and don't have a clue how to raise them properly or the resources to do it without going on welfare. IMHO, this one particular family with 16 kids that is doing it right isn't the problem.

Sheesh, my only suggestion was to watch the show before making an uninformed decision. I'm not asking anyone to change their opinions.

I've been to their website. The dad is an idiot and the mom is a 'submissive wife' doing the Lord's work by popping 'em out. Great.

And maybe they are raising them to be happy little robots. BUT do you think these kids (especially the GIRLS) are going to be educated? No, they are going to raised to procreate for the Lord, case closed.

And for God's sakes, get them OFF the TV. It just encourages their disgusting behavior by giving them the attention they crave.

This freako family shouldn't be getting any press time at all! I'm sorry, but I don't care if you're the greatest mom is world, you should not have that many children. My god 16 years straight of diapers and potty training and reading and teaching and cleaning up after them. Give me a break. Like others have said, she's a brainwashed submissive wife doing it for god and her husband. Not good reasons to have kids. She can't even take care of them by herself. She can't even spend an hour with each kid during the day, then has no time for herself. Not to be even ruder yet, but when do they even have time for sex?

And I am even more disgusted in them now than I was prior to looking.
Now their poor female kids are going to have a shitload of kids, their male kids will look at women as objects for their amusement (breeding stock) and the trend will continue on to thier fundie christian kids.
