I really don't remember my dreams ...but lately they are so real...the other night I dreamt I was in a bedroom (not mine)asleep (?) and all of a sudden I was floating in the corner of the bedroom and when I looked down I saw myself.(I was face down and I had purple pj's on (I don't own purple pj's).2 strangers(male and female) were in a different room and I tried to get there attention but they could'nt see me so I went back into the room and just watched myself laying on the bed, Whats going on with these vivid dreams? Thanks for any help you can give.

First off, Happy Birthday!

OK, um, my best guess would be astral travel and that possibly the purple PJs were your aura. (Ever had your picture taken?)

But you said you weren't in your room, so I'm not sure.
I'm the rookie here, goin on intuition.

So, Parthena? Lauren?

Hi Both

I'm with Michelle. I think of astral travel when people dream that they are looking down at themselves. We can all leave our physical bodies in our sleep. The pjs could be the aura. Hmm...I bet Parthena has an article on this somewhere on her site.

Interesting it's a man & a woman again that you see. Do they look like the pair in the other dream? Maybe you are travelling further than you realise!

Hi Lauren_Ravenstar,
Now that you mention it they do look like the pair in the other dream...isn't that strange! The dreams I've been having lately are so real, and when I wake up I have this feeling that this is nice...like when you miss something or someone you haven't seen in a long time.It gives me a feeling of peace.I've always wanted to know more about past lives ...so if anyone can help me with info on past lives and aura that would be great.
P.S I don't know if this will help but I was born in England in 1959...came to the U S a few years later.
Thanks for all the help...this site is great.

Ack! I tried to do a search to see if this subject had already come up, but I seem to have problems with the search engine. (It doesn't like me I don't think) Is that bad for an editor to admit?

It looked like there might have been a discussion pertaining to astral projection back in May '05. Parthena's got LOTS of links on her site pertaining to the subject.

Parthenaaaaaaa, where are youoooooo

(We'll see if yodeling helps any)

Sorry guys, I tried to pick up the 2 yr old today, needed the Demerol again. It makes poasting fun tho!

I hear you! I've had the #%%**!!!$# flu all weekend

I agree with you and Lauren's opinion that opalmoon may be doing a little astral projecting - how exciting!

But also - remember that things are not going to make sense in dreams 99% of the time. It's not at all unusual to be wearing something you don't own or see people you don't know or be in a house you've never seen.

So, if we were to interpret as a typical dream:

The bed/bedroom is a place of rest and where you dream - as well as where you make love. You're watching yourself sleep:

Sleeping and Dreaming

Can you place at all who those people may represent and why you needed to get their attention?

Also, please consider that you may be ready to try lucid dreaming. Most of us have lucid dreams without realizing it. Conscious lucid dreaming takes some work but is worth the effort. In lucid dreams, you can learn to direct what's taking place because you're actually partially awake, and it can also be a step toward astral travel.

I'm reading a fascinating book on the topic and will be reviewing it soon. Maybe we could practice some of the exercises together, perhaps as a course.

There's a big long article at the top of the forum and several places on the dreams home page about that persnickety search engine and how to get it to work a little better, at least on this site;)

and gentle hugs for your aches and pains are on the way.

So sorry Parthena. The flu is just a pain, becuase there is NOTHING you can do but be miserable and take motrin and tea.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

This one is a soothing tune, no yodeling.
