Greetings all,
I really could use some help here I had this very strange dream last night and I cant get it out of my head. I was wondering if anyone out there can help me This is what I remember.I was outside standing under a tree (leaves are green).. the ground is dirt (under the tree only). The sun is shining and everything is all green,no houses or buildings around. In the distance I see a man and a women (dont know them)standing and facing each other the man throws back his hand and punches the women in the stomach and she doubles over and as that happens an Indian and a Horse raise from the dirt under the tree were Im standing (Im not scared ,if anything I feel relief and happy) The Indian does not talk but I understand what hes going to do (he looks at me and he has a smile on his face)and he goes over to protect the women and he goes after the man.. Then I wake up. Ive never had a dream that was so clear beforeI could even smell everything around me.any ideas ???
P.S...I love this site.
Thanks, opalmoon

Hi opalmoon and welcome to Bella! I'm so glad that you like it here!

Trees and forests represent life and the soul. The sun and the earth also represent life, nurturing, growth and being provided for.

Dream Symbols - Trees
Dream Symbols - Sun

To interpret your dream, ask yourself these questions:

Can you connect the man and woman to anything in waking life? For instance, have you or someone you love been abused, or perhaps are being abused now? Is there someone you're worried about?

Who do you think the Indian represents? He's obviously a hero or rescuer. Horses represent strength, endurance and instinct. If they are wild in a dream, they can represent something or someone being wild or out of control.

Hi Parthena,
Thanks so much for your reply,to answer your questions...sorry no I cannot connect the man and woman to anything in my waking life and know one that I know is being abused and I'm really not worried about anything (just real life stuff..bills...kids...ect...)The Indian thing I really don't get (I was born in England and I'm part Italian) + the horse is not wild.I just don't get it..my dreams are so real lately...even in bright colors.
If you can give me any help in this it would be great.

Have you thought about watching the movie Sleepy Hollow? Maybe there is something in the movie for you. Johnny Depp stars, and he is part Indian. It is a good movie, and it is not scary. When I watched Lord of the Rings, there were several parts of the movie that affected me profoundly. I could not wait for LOTR 2 to start. We buried my daughter on the first day of LOTR 2. A few days later my neighbors dragged me to the theater (to get my mind off of things), and when King Theoden realized his son had died he said "Parents should not outlive their children", we all burst into tears; it was unexpected. However, there was wisdom in that movie as well, and in LOTR3. My point being, there might be something in SH for you to hear, that will be helpful. Parthena says most dreams are symbolic, and she is the expert. But mine sometimes are otherwise, and that is why I am suggesting the movie. I will shut up now.

I don't think my dream has anything to do with this movie.
Thanks anyway,

Hi Opalmoon

When nothing makes any sense in relation to your current life I start to wonder if you are having past life flashbacks? Still, they are likely to have a message for you right now, otherwise why would they surface?

Hi Firefly- LOL I think Sleepy Hollow is a great film- but it scares me silly! <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> I'm a wimp when it comes to horror movies.

Hi opalmoon,

There are hundreds of dream dictionaries out there but they can only tell you the traditional meanings. There is also a personal meaning that only the dreamer knows. For instance - what does an Indian make you think of? For me, it could be a neighbor! since I live within Cherokee Nation. I also practice some Native American spirituality. For me, an Indian in a dream would represent wisdom.

You may have only seen "Dances With Wolves" and may have never been to a powwow. What images does the figure bring up for you? Wild? Medicine Man? Cheated? LOL

We are really the only ones who can truly interpret our own dreams. If suggestions from others just aren't clicking, you may need to start keeping a dream journal and just note the symbol meanings. When you've had 5 or 6 or 10 vivid dreams, compare them to each other. You will very likely see patterns and this can help you decipher the dreams.

firefly and Lauren - I've never seen Sleepy Hollow! It's been on my to see list for years!

Thanks for checking in, I've had the flu and was too sick to even sit at the comp {{{hugs}}}

Glad you are better, Parthena. Check out the movie and you will see what I was referring to. To me it was not scary, and I am a big weenie!
