**Finally, the President looks up and asks........
"How many is a brazillion??!"

Raytan,
It is not just the Prez, but I think we are all just beginning to work up a concept of "brazillions". There are millions, and trillions. Currently in the US we measure the debt we have run up under 5 years of this "conservative" regime in the "trillions". Perhaps when George II steps down our debt will be in the "brazillions".

Kai
PS, Do we have to put up with another George III after George II? Can we afford it? The last one caused quite a revolution.

That is my question. How do you intend to conduct subatomic research of the supra-atomic phenomenon, such as a sound wave??

Added in "Edit" mode: in other words - sound - in contrast to light - does not involve the inner part of the atoms. What's inside the atom - does not matter for the sound wave. For the sound it is enough that there are some atoms around to conduct the wave. The light - just the opposite. THe light is BOTH the wave and a stream of photons that do not need any atoms to be transfered. It needs atoms that 'produce' the matter of light - little corpuscules of photons. That is why you can see the sun but you cannot hear it, there's a vaccum between Sun and Sciwriter <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> So, the subatomic phenomena are fundamental for the light and I just don't see how they might be important for the sound.

Funny rayton, I've been on this forum only a short time, but I've not seen a USA poster start a post making derogatory or "we're so much better" posts yet. Seen lots o Europeans make them against USA though. The thread that started END OF EURPOPE", while I am not moved to read such threads, I did so after your retort above. Not one cheap shot, not one derogatory or "in your face" taunting. Not one. No Rayton, you sir, got a bad case of short mans disease. You look for insult where there isn't one. It's fine. We expect nothing less from your lot. So many of you Europeans have such a chip on your shoulder, you spoil for a fight anytime you can provoke one. Ive not seen a single post from anyone here extolling America over anyone else, unless it was maybe to retort to open hostility towards or insult to America. You act like a small child stamping his feet to be noticed very funny indeed.

Since its a slow night, how about some more insults thrown our way. We get far too little of British politics here in the states: and short of watching grown men in wigs bickering like grade school girls in parliament, well we might as well listen to you your trash talk. Might even learn a little proper English at the same time!

insults? not from me that's for sure....

and I'll leave the "small child stamping his feet" routine to you as you're clearly such an expert (or is that your poor man's Bill O'Reilly impression?)....

there's also no sign of a chip on my shoulder....

why on earth would there be?

I've lived and worked in the USA and it was an interesting experience, but I would never want to move there permanently because life is better over here.

alhough I'm well aware that you and many other Americans erroneously believe that we're all jealous of you - I'm also aware that this is a fantasy based entirely on self-delusion.

maybe one day you'll realise that too.

and surely the very essence of conservatism is fiscal responsibility, respect for the constitution and limiting the powers of government over the people....

since bush took over he has presided over multi-trillion dollar budgets and huge deficits (while looting the social security trust fund), a systematic evisceration of your constitutional rights and "big government" like you've never had before.

it's amusing to observe the useful idiots who worship dubya turning a blind eye to what should be anathema to them....

We are going to bundle up Buffoon Bill, his clan and cohorts than ship them off to England where they can shack-up with Raytan in his digs.

I'm not one of the Europeans who keeps knocking the US, but today we have learned that Bush received a message straight from God to invade Iraq! How weird and how 'not fit to be a President' does this make him - I suppose he can make these statements as he can't stand again next time!

Geez Leslie, some people have all the luck. I can't even get a message from my Guardian Angel or Veronica Lake. LOL

Raytan- tsk tsk, you stole that from a blonde joke (I know, I have been told that a, um, brazillian times. Oh, ugh, I'm sorry - that was bad.)

But seriously, I've come on y'alls polish forum lots because everyone here is always so friendly (musicalmom moniker normally) You and I were the ones that had that conversation. Why are you blasting us now?

(BTW, whoever compared the languages of Europe to the language of the US; you are comparing a continent to a country - not really valid)

But please - we have plenty of people here of great intelligence, compassion, etc, etc. Our media does ot like to report such things however, because THOSE do not garner the headlines. The president is much more entertaining when he screws up than when he does something right (especially from a left-wing news blitz).

America is nowhere near its end, yet. Look at our history. We rally best when we are down. We fight hardest when we are the underdog. And I believe 9/11 proved that we come together most when all others come against us.
