Would conducting research to measure sound waves at the subatomic level improve digital sound technology as lasers do with technology related to light an matter? How can one measure sound waves on the subatomic level? To my knowledge the sound waves do not have dual wave/corpuscular characteristic the light waves/photons do.

I could answer Raytan's tauntings and "euro-cheap shots" several ways, but instead will just laugh and ask him a question: deep down in your worst nightmares, do you really think they'll be a planet earth, without America on it? Chew on that one for awhile. I hope it scares the hell out of you, because if what you say is true and you really believe it, you have something to be afraid of.
You ever notice on this forum, how Europeans take shots at America regularly, and not the other way around. In America, we call it short mans disease...
Sweet dreams!

Hi Piwo - the fact that America is fast disappearing down the toilet (or "restroom" as you Americans quaintly refer to it) is not something that I lose any sleep over, but perhaps you should. try reading the New York Review of Books article I posted and quoted from for example.... You ever notice on this forum, how Europeans take shots at America regularly, and not the other way around. In America, we call it short mans disease... no - I've noticed the opposite. as I said above (in case you missed it): time after time I've seen ridiculous threads on this forum posted (in all seriousness) by americans who want to delude themselves into believing that the EU or Europe itself is somehow on the brink of demise. there's one at the moment called "End of Europe" - so I thought I'd post one called "End of America"..... using your - ahem - "logic", I'm sure I'd have no trouble looking down on you from a great height.... do you have you anything to say other than what Tocqueville called America's "perpetual utterance of self-applause"?

PS I also like to laugh - so here's a funny joke.... Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing.
He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed in an accident."
"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's just terrible!"
His staff looks on stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the president sits, slumped back in his chair, head in hands, in a state of despair.
Finally, the President looks up and asks........
"How many is a brazillion??!"

Raytan,
Leslie wanted to take part in the discussion, you remember, he lives in Great Britain. Unfortunately he had problems with his account, I tried to help him out but I did not hear from him today yet. We will see

Funny rayton, I've been on this forum only a short time, but I've not seen a USA poster start a post making derogatory or "we're so much better" posts yet. Seen lots o Europeans make them against USA though. The thread that started END OF EURPOPE", while I am not moved to read such threads, I did so after your retort above. Not one cheap shot, not one derogatory or "in your face" taunting. Not one. No Rayton, you sir, got a bad case of short mans disease. You look for insult where there isn't one. It's fine. We expect nothing less from your lot. So many of you Europeans have such a chip on your shoulder, you spoil for a fight anytime you can provoke one. Ive not seen a single post from anyone here extolling America over anyone else, unless it was maybe to retort to open hostility towards or insult to America. You act like a small child stamping his feet to be noticed very funny indeed.
Since its a slow night, how about some more insults thrown our way. We get far too little of British politics here in the states: and short of watching grown men in wigs bickering like grade school girls in parliament, well we might as well listen to you your trash talk. Might even learn a little proper English at the same time!

I am pretty sure if you would live in England - your opinions could also be different. I know that if I would be still in Poland I would look at several things the way how Adam, Jerzy and Zooba do.
