Share your own personal experience with your guides and angels. Do you have encounters throughout your working day? Are your experiences shared through dreams?

Applying what our guides have to say when we are most likely to listen, through our dreams, helps us more to follow our angelic guidance in our waking lives and affirm what it is we were meant to do.

I have had them by my side for as long as I remember. I have been very aware of this but I never knew what it was. Since I joined this forum (5 months?) and all I have learned about dreams, I can only think since a lot of my dreams actually happen (from 3 hours after awakening, to 1 1/2 years later), this is a way to reach me. In real life, I understand things better if I am shown pictures or given hands on experience, and dreams do both! I had a most profound experience this year, and I will share it. I was told my particular angels to enlist when in need are Archangels Michael and Gabriel. I was apprehensive; and scared. These are very high ranking Angels. There is always something to deal with, and I pray for the strength to deal with it, and then I do. I was having no luck with this particular situation. I wanted to stop smoking; something I started after my daughter died almost 3 years ago. So one Wednesday I finally appealed to the Archangels Michael and Gabriel for their help. I wanted to stop suddenly, and privately. (No doctors, patches, support groups, etc. Except for this forum, I am a fairly private and solitary person. Drives my husband crazy). Well...ask and you shall receive. 48 hours later, I was headed up to my country place to play in the garden and stargaze. Alone. I stopped at a sandwich shop and ordered a sandwich. I was aware that it was weird for me to be ordering a sandwich, but I did so anyhow. (I am allergic to bread mold and rarely eat bread). I drove to my place (45 miles) in the woods, and hung out. As the sun was setting, I got in my car and decided to eat the rest of my sandwich. I noted that I was not hungry, why was I eating? Just as I was about to take a bite of the sandwich, The Voice said "Take A TINY Nibble", so I bit off a tiny bit with one of my front teeth. I chewed, swallowed, and at the same time, breathed in. I aspirated the food and it was stuck. It was like time stopped,it was an extremely strange sensation. My body reacted in a rather violent reaction and God knows how I got that tiny morsel of food dislodged. My body kind of jerked (when my cat died, just prior to that he had the death throes and this convulsive behavior reminded me of that). I think the angels must have Heimliched me. I sat in the front seat of my car, alone in the woods, very shook up. You see, the next day was Saturday, and I saw myself slumped over my steering wheel, dead, being found by the neighbors boys. Probably in the afternoon. And my daughter, who died, her best friend (who was in the wreck also and had gotten a concussion), was getting married that Saturday afternoon. Besides the fact that I was limp as a wet noodle, weak, freaked, all I could think of was: it could have happened at a place I love dearly, our friend's wedding would have been utterly ruined (she married an old boyfriend of my daughter, they are like family), this would have ruined my kids and siblings (not sure about the husband!). I tossed the sandwich out the window, drove home and have only told two people about this (until now). The bottom line with this rambling on is: I asked for help, and was specific. Within 48 hours, help arrived. It was quick, and private. This only lasted a few LONG seconds. The timing was crucial (if it happened any other time it would not have ruined the wedding-if I had died I mean). The physical nature of what my body experienced, my mind too; and the knowledge that I had "asked and received", so quickly, affected me so strongly that I have had absolutely no desire to smoke AT ALL. You see, I am allergic to pollen, and it is worse up in the woods, and it does affect my breathing. Not much, but that is why I think I breathed in when I swallowed the morsel. And smoking did not help the breathing situation. Thank you Archangels Michael and Gabriel for being there with me in the woods, on May 6, 2005.

Im glad you found us firefly!!

I too have been a very private person. It took many, many experiences to finally do what I do now, working with spiritually gifted children and adults who are wanting to find a path to apply their own spiritual abilities. It is a way I can finally interact with people, and support myself, without becoming overwhelmed.

An angelic encounter I would love to share is this. Ive spoken of it once.

3 years ago I was driving from El Paso, IL to Bloomington, IL. with my daughter (4 at the time). Route 39 leads directly to business district, Route 51 (veterans Parkway). It was interesting to me there were no other cars on the highway as it was lunchtime as well. None the less, I enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Ahead, 2 of the 4 lanes we completely closed. The remaining lanes merged into one. As I descended a hill, right before entering the city I noticed a car maybe 2 miles behind me. The next thing I knew, as if it all happened at the same time (as you mention in your experience in slow motion) I could see everything in detail, almost an aerial or panoramic view.

I would not have made this move consciously, but my car moved slightly to the left into the lane that was to end. It felt as if a large (lack of words) marshmallow/Michelin- man type of (in looking back) being slowly adjusted my wheel.

In my rear-view mirror I saw a man with a gun held to his head. This stuff just doesnt happen, as I rarely went out back then. If someone had been in the passenger seat, they could have touched the vehicle of this man passing me. 10 police cars passed me as well, but I had time to pull over by then.

I dont remember the newspaper details as well as the experience, but this man pulled into an elementary school and shot himself. He had a mission that day, to die. It almost involved my daughter and I as well. For some reason that day the protective guidance spared not only my life but my daughter as well.

I am so eternally grateful for the seen and unseen guidance from our Godly and angelic realm. We are never without them.

I have always had an innate spirituality but until I was about 30 this was all experienced through evangelistic Christianity. I never thought of guides but when I prayed for people I would be told things about them and I often saw visions when I was praying alone or in groups. At that time I just thought of it as from God. As I developed my insight and intuition, unfortunately my church looked unkindly on what I was getting into and I had to leave.

I feel my guides around me now but I'd love to know how to develop that relationship more. And angels have played a prominent part in my life, particularly Michael and Uriel who guided me to move to where I currently live and to do the work I currently do. They feel very powerful and I'm always a bit in awe of them when they're around.

I'm sure I have been visited by angels in physical form too. When I split up with my first husband and was living on my own with not much money, every time there was a domestic disaster (such as a burst pipe or a broken stair) I'd use a business directory to find a workman but they were invariably incredibly friendly, prompt and charged me hardly anything! I'm sure these were angels looking after me and my sons.

Can anyone advise how to identify my guides more clearly and work with them more directly?

You clearly have your link well established & are being given lots of information already. Try grounding, consciously opening all the chakras from base to crown, then drawing white light through your crown before working clairvoyantly. I have an article on grounding your energy field here:

All this will raise your vibration & make it easier for your guides to draw close to you. Remember at the end to close gently back down- don't go supermarket shopping with your chakras wide open! <img src="/images/graemlins/beamedup.gif" alt="" />

I've always believed in simplicity ~

Simplicity without harm I should say. Meaning your soul is as individual as the footprint or fingerprint belonging to it.

There is so much more than what we've been told or have physically seen that, personally, I feel in wanting to communicate more with spiritual guides, angels, and personalities we have come to remember in this lifetime, all we need is to really just ask and be open.

All things are from God or are through God. Guides just have their own sector of work they have devoted their energy to.

Think of it like a hospital. Hospitals exist, provide information, and a place where Doctors, nurses, therapists can work out of and dedicate themselves, but if we do not specifically go to a hospital and interact, the help we receive, is the kind we may by chance happen to come upon.

Should we frequent a stop, we may become more educated and even participate ourselves in helping othes as well as ourselves.
