Geez people....

Mama I did not take you comments as sarcasm. I am sure you get just as much [censored] from people for having so many children as we do for having none. While situations are quite different I wouldn't say they don't compare. We are all labeled and ostracized for making choices that go against society.

I would say welcome to the forum but I don't know that you feel that welcomed. This used to be a friendly forum but lately I don't know what has happened to it. I think as long as parents aren't here to ridicule us than they should be welcomed here but I don't know if some people here share that view.

There are people out there think you are using your kids!? That is really low to say about a parent. Every kid is different in their own little way. I would be afraid to have a kid today with all the [censored] we have going on in the world today. and some I said some kids are just rotten. I wouldnt know if my kid be independent or a momma muncher. Thats all I have to say I really dont want to get in a huge debate again.

Kat thanks fopr the welcome..i was trying to just read and not post but when i saw how people look down on and critisize you for making your choices..i felt compelled to show my admiration.

Cookie, yes, some kids are little bad-words. i know a few in our area who i would like to strangle and i am a pretty patient person. our choice to have more than the socially accepted 2-3 kids is like some sort of badge of shame. people feel it is alright to say things that they should realize are rude and highly personal. for example, last week we (the whole brood) were at a family resturant, eating dinner..the woman at the table near us came over and asked if they were all ours. we replied yes and dh gave me a kiss..she frowned and said "well it seems you two need to stop doing that!" right in front of my children!

its pretty much, you're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't..or if you do it too many times..lol!

lots of love,
Dee

People stick their nose into other people's lives to much. My half-sister just announced she is Pregnant with baby number 3 and her dad's side of the family are complaining about it. She is in college so everyone say's it's just another kid to get in the way. My mother's side is more okay with it. But I dont know why people have to make her life any harder.

I guess it goes with having kid's and not having kids. But I cant believe a total stranger said that to you mama! How rude.

Wow! That is unbelievably rude I guess we all get a little grief for our choices. Welcome to the boards, mamma2kids, by the way!

I think it is just human nature to be curious 'how the other half lives'-and I agree that whatever choices you make in life someone will disagree and feel threatened enough to not mind their own business. Another human nature thing I guess. Anyone else ever just 'hate' humanity? Besides my personal reasons for being CF-not contributing to the downfall of the human race is another big one in my book. I think it is a fairytale (that won't come true) to think that your children will be better than you are--I have never seen that happen.

That's what I don't like. People who feel "threatened." As if other people will trample over them and make it hard to enjoy what they do.

I don't see the problem in parents posting as long as they arent saying something rude or offensive. Whats the big deal.

the big deal is that this is a forum for non-parents. why do they even want to be here? if it was just a forum for whoever, then whoever can post. But forums are set up for specific groups about specific subjects. Have you seen the "Ask Jeeves" commercial on tv about the people who ask inappropriate questions? I like the one where the girl goes up to a dog breeder at a dog show and asks for movie times and gets squirted in the face and told to sit! well that is what parents are like on a non-parents message board. Irrelevant, bordering on troll-ish.
