Here is my letter to gary king followed by his response:

Iowa Games and USBC UNFAIR Bowling Competition!
gave me another good laugh. People were really that concerned about 6
dots versus 5. If you dont know how to line up without ANY dots you
need to learn somethings. Dots don't matter. The boards are all the
same. Whats your next trick? Compalining that some of the newer lane
surfaces have the markers at 45 and some don't? Oh wait you forgot
that some places even have 7 dots on the approach. And the dots before
tha rrowns dont line up with the other sets of dots on the lane. We
should coach kids on how to depend on other factors beside ability?
Get a grip. If you're a coach worth a [censored] they know how to line up
with or without dots.
Those who want to boycott the Iowa Games shouldn't be there in the
first place. You're final paragraph is just stupid. But is is what I
have come to expect from you. Sport bowling puts out a level playing
field for all competitors. Put a ton of oil out on the whole lane. Too
many places help one side or the other to get bowlers in leagues. I
avg 220 on a house shot but only about 160 on a sport shot. I
struggle. A 190 avg is considered good enough to qualify for a PBA
card on a sport shot.
And what the hell is the final sentence, it doesn't even make sense.

I know you are too much of a pussy to respond to me since you know
nothing about the sport you want to put down. Do us a favor quit, then
maybe they'll get some here to write a decent article.

How many 300s have YOU had? You do bowl, don't you?

Yes I bowl. I so far have 0 sanctioned 300 games. But what does that matter? people with 150 averages can bowl 300 games. I currently have a 220 avg. So who is the better bowler? a 150avg with 5 300's or a 220avg with 0 300's?

Is this really the kind of attitude we need from a contributor? Isn't scoring one of the biggest complaints about the sport right now? So after 2 months this is the best response he can give us? Can we please get some one in here who knows about bowling.

You all have a right to be ticked off at the way I have responded via BOWLING. I DO CARE about bowling and about how ALL of you bowl. Your comments are GREAT and I know others appreciate them. I figure I bowl pretty good for an old duff, and I have taken things for granted. I learned something this past two months about what NOT to take for granted, and that is the radical Muslims and JIHAD people. They hit my other computer because of my work with veterans and on the veterans site. BUT I AM BACK. But my big mistake was in letting this bowling site take a back seat and FORGIVE ME for being OUT OF TOUCH. YOU DID NOT DESERVE that and I let some things and my battle with JIHAD people take precedence. I will focus on Bowling now and being critical of the sport is NOT the way to go. I do know how to bowl and I feel I can benefit others. I WILL check this forum each and every day FROM NOW ON and once again, THANK YOU for being there yourselves, when I was not. GK
