Has anyone here had a problem with any BC pills causing lack of sex drive?

I take strong ones due to my PCOS and haven't had any issues.

I have. I dont know if it really is my sex drive or the fact that I have been switching because I bleed a lot with the one's I used to be on. Now because I Switched I am overly tired so it takes a toll on my sex life.

I still have yet to find any good BC that doesnt royally mess with me.

BC has always lessened my sex drive, made me irritable, and too tired for anything. Even the ones that claim to be lesser in strength effected me like that.

I finally stopped them and my drive came back like a nympho for 3 weeks then leveled off to normal. (In those weeks my husband was the tired one!) BC pills DO make your body think it's pregnant in a way so that might explain the sex drive decrease.

I don't know what you're taking but trying a lesser strength one may help. The 4x/year ones apparently have lesser side effects from what I've been told by my doc, but I'm off of
them for good.

Very Lucky! I have been on BC pills for so long that I can't figure out if my low sex drive is the BC pills or if I just have a low sex drive. I am terrified of getting off the pills (it would be just my luck to have an "oops"). So, I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I find condoms disgusting.

Yes you're lucky!! I was on and off the pill for over 10 years and it nearly killed my sex drive. Going off them due to health problems made my sex drive go nuts until the hormones leveled (like stormy) Our problem was DH and I are both slightly allergic to latex, I'm allergic to spermacide and we're both irritated by the non-latex condoms. So basically sex hasn't been all that great in the past two years. Then DH got snipped and we are both so much happier!!!

Lynnk have you tried an IUD yet? I know a few women who have them and love it!

IUD's kind of freak me out! Maybe that's something I should talk to my doctor about.

I talked to my doctor about IUD's and she said there was a lot of the same effects as Birth Control. But I dont know for sure. I never was on one.

I was fortunate to land a wonderful guy who has had a vasectomy - no more birth control for me! I've noticed that my sex drive is even more intense since I've stopped using it. I'm a Scorpio so it's always been pretty high to begin with but I've noticed that along with being "hornier" LOL more, sex is just plain better. Vasectomies for everyone!!!!!!
