Hi Michelle,
Hypnogogic State is a "half dream" state that's conducive to altered states of consciousness. It's when unusual visions, voices, patterns, etc. occur. Some believe that it's a way of having an OBE, as well.

Thanks! Narcolepsy I'm actually familiar with, they tested my Dad for it, because he kept falling asleep all the time. It turned out he had VERY SEVERE Sleep Apnea, instead.

He's on the machine now, so it helps; but he weighs 350 lbs. It will never get completely better until he loses some weight I'm afraid. I'm hoping my gastric bypass will go so well, that he'll be interested in it; because right now all he's doing is laying around the house living to die.
