We're not trying to convice ourselves at all. The majority of CF's have been convinced our decisions are the right ones for us for a very,long time. This is simply a board for us to talk about things we don't want (children, pregnancy, etc.). If a person doesn't desire something it is generally because they view that thing as a negative.

Why would parents even be on this board at all?
It's like another poster said once....I don't go to "parents" forums...simply because I am not interested. Another poster wondered if parents being on this board may be Freudian....something to think about.
Not trying to be rude but frankly most of us don't really care what Parents think of our decisions.

Yeah I don't post here as often due to some parent remarks. I'm not to convince myself I'm CF. I know I am. I wear it with pride and like others to know that they too have a choice, which they decide is fine as long as they think it through.

i'm a parent and i happen to like this board because i see both sides.... and sometimes it helps to represent a different prospective on things...i do not try to ask cf's to convert or otherwise tell them they are wrong in their decision, in most cases i agree with them. and i also try to be honest about the negative side of parenting that is not often displayed in media, ect

Thre are other boards that are strictly for the childfree. You just have to do some digging. I belong to a couple of 'em. PM me for the websites. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Quite frankly, I wish more CF boards allowed only childfree members on them.

I am not a parent, I decided I didnt want kids at a young age and now I am confused on my decision. I am half and half now, not sure what I want.
But since I am half and half I see good and bad from it, and in this board people seem to concentrate on the negative and make it sound worse then it is, and maybe on the "parents" board they make it sound better then it is.
So if this comment is towards me in anyway I think I may be more "real" about this subject then a lot of people who are so one sided. Both Parent forums and Parent-Free forums try to make what they want their way of life glamorous and put down the other. When really their are sucky things and Awesome things in both ways of life. I am just trying to decide what one I want while being realistic about it. Really? Well, I haven't found anything sucky about being childfree, rather quite the opposite, so please, do tell what are the sucky and unglamorous things about being childfree?
