I didnt do the cloister of trials properly as Ive had to go back and do them, to get the treasure, but when I go to Besaid and Macalania, the guy goes, "TRAITOR" and an aeon comes and attacks me 3 times and thats Game over, it doesnt even give me chance to fight it.
Well thats alright, except, I need the treasure so I can light the things up to get anima . Still have two to go.......
PLEASE HELP...... ME............

you need to get leveled up first so won't get instantly wasted by dark aeons, getting wakka maxed out and getting his ultimate weapon fired up would be a good place to start.
1 attack reels at max damage = no more dark valefor :P

cant you use aeons on the dark aeons? if you can you should start the battle with all aeons in overdrive and yuna in overdrive also... Use lower aeons on valefor (should be pretty quick) then use your tougher aeons for shiva (bahamut, ixion, etc) should be pretty easy. However I don't think Ive ever had to fight these ( i have the guide so i get all the things first try) ; ) hope i helped some.. Dark Velefor falls very easy.
It's best to fight the dark aeons weapon to beast, rather than instant KO to beast.
why? Because it's more rewarding.

also, leveling up doesn't take extremely long. Though it may seem boring at times...but that's what blitz is for (or even other games)

now I did post up here a REALLY long post on how to level up a quick way...but I don't know if I still have the text. I know that WakkaRulz does, I think...because he copied it from me <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

the dark aeon I am trying to get past is actually dark shiva, at the macalania temple...... she has three goes and kills all three of me....I don't even get a chance to have one attack.

I am using the international version of the game, so possibly that is why you havent encountered this problem before (maybe)..

hey dude i can help you id have the same version as you and like you i didnt do some of the challenges in the temple, macalania temple with dark shiva. well first thing first you need the ultimate weapons for Auron, Wakka, & Tidus and they need to have gone the whole way round the sphere grid i know thats alot but its what you gotta do. they all must know the specail entrust which allows you to give your overdrive to someone else. ontop of that they need good armour i recommend armour with auto-haste, and auto-life, and whatever else tickles your fansay. first go try beat dark valefore in besaid hes the weakest and if you can beat him you know your on the right track. use wakkas attack reels get it great and that should be dark valefore done if he does 99,999 each time. i then defeated them in order i got them so i went after dark Iffrit, same moves except it takes a couple attack reels so use entrust (go into battles with overdrive already up) then Ixion. you get some really good armour from beating these chaps i beat all of them with just Auron having good armour with auto-hast and auto life Tidus and Wakka didnt have anything really. Shivas pretty tough so this is where auto life comes in handy so all you need to do is cast auto-life on Auron so he comes back alive when he dies and use hastega and just keep attacking her and building back up your overdrives, Aurons banishing blade also might come in handy, so thats how i got my anima, i havnt been able to beat any dark aeons above her yet because their attacks cause status effects as well like Bahumuts impulse turns you to stone and you smash straight away. if you cant be bothered doing this just get out yojimbo pay him heaps and hope he does Zanmoto i think this is cheap though so i dont use it

p.s when you beat dark shiva a whole lot of guados run at you and you have to fight them, they keep coming at you so i was gutted and thought i couldnt get back into the temple. just go out then go back in and there gone.

To beat Bahamut you need to have Ribbon or stoneproof. There is a pattern to how he uses Impulse (I think it's every 5th attack)
I beat him with two ribbons and one character who always got stoned
But in all, he was the longest Aeon to beat. half an hour...everyone else didn't take so long.

Also Anima required QuickHits against her...because she doesn't deal damage so it's harder to charge the overdrive.
