OK, folks, so where's the best place to see fall color in New England? Which state, or region, or even a specific route or lookout...let us in on your secret location to enjoy autumn!

I admit, I'm partial to Vermont for the fall, but I've seen some wonderful color in every New England state that I've visited.

My husband and I really enjoyed Maine and New Hampshire in the fall. Although I have to admit, those are the only places we've been in New England, aside from Boston. I can't remember the name of it, but there was a state park or preserve in Maine that we spent several hours hiking in and photographing. It must have been near a main highway or we wouldn't have found it.

I would try the stretch of Rte 107 from pipttsfeild to gilmanton NH.
Also rt 89 straight to burlington vt.
Personally the last big popw wow of the season for me is columbus day wkend up in milton NH off rt 125.
