BellaOnline Forums Computers Computer - Console Gaming Help Fable trouble

I'm new with fable, I just got it yesterday, and I'm having a hard time getting to Barrow Fields, past the stone-throwing-gorillalike monster. I've read the walkthrough, and I've just died despite my tries.
Are you supposed to "whack" him with your sword, because I couldn't get that close without pretty much being killed. Or are you supposed to use the bow & arrow?

hmmm can't remember where everything is.. but I do remember that creature.

I suggest you use either a bow or ranged magic.. stand from a distance.. evade his rocks and shoot/use magic in between throws.
